The Ethernet Direct service enables you to connect your businesses to a shared network to effectively utilize multiple services, such as using the same sales system throughout the business.
You can connect two locations via a central router or switch. Firewall and security functions are then only needed at one of the offices. High capacity bridge distances also allow for a more coherent organization and homogeneous technology platform.
The Ethernet Direct service is a point-to-point connection, Ethernet VLAN with selectable bandwidth from 2-1000 Mbit / s.
- The Ethernet Direct service offers alternative bandwidths up to 1000 Mbit / s.
- The service is checked, and quality assured before delivery.
- Monitoring around the clock, all year round.
- High availability.
- Redundancy by request.
- Error reporting and malfunctioning 24 hours a day.
The service is based on switched Ethernet IEEE 802.3 and with private Mac address table for each service. IEEE 802.1Q and 802.1p standards are used in the network.
In addition, there is bandwidth reservation. This means that part of the total bandwidth of the service is assigned to certain applications, such as IP telephony.
Normally, customer equipment prioritizes applications because the service capacity is guaranteed and reserved in the network.
